Hi Carrie! I have a quick question about limos. We are thinking about what kind of limo we want, but I also wanted to know how we would work out the logistics of transportation. I believe my bm's and i will be getting ready at a hotel, as will jack and the groomsmen. so I guess I am wondering... Is it just the bride and bm's that normally take the limo the ceremony (church)? After the church, does only the bride and groom take the limo the reception site or does the whole bridal party join? If the bridal party joins us in the limo, how would they get home? Is this something I need to let them know they need to arrange beforehand?

Hi Angeline, With the limo there are a lot of things that come into play and organize. There is really no standard now n' days and it is based more on your wedding budget and what you can afford. Here are a few suggestions: A stretch limo will only accommodate 10 max. I recommend to avoid the 10 and stay more around 8 or 9, you will be much more comfortable and your dress will not get as wrinkled.

So let's talk TIGHT BUDGET: If you are all getting ready at the same location and then traveling to the church, one limo is fine for the girls and you. They guys can take a few cars to the ceremony with the groom. Then after the ceremony you and your new hubby can head back to the reception in the limo. This is a great opportunity for the two of you to have a few moments alone together during the hustle and bustle of the day. It is priceless! Then the bridesmaids can carpool back to the reception with the groomsmen. After the reception is over your bridal party can drive home. If they have been drinking they have the option of either staying the night at the hotel or taking a taxi.

If your BUDGET ALLOWS: You can get a second limo to take Jack and the groomsmen to the church. After the ceremony all the bridal party can hop into one limo to get to the reception. If your bridal party is larger than 9, have the maid of Honor and Best man ride along with you back to the hotel.
