This past summer one of my lovely clients, Olivia, walked out of her house while talking on the cell phone. Got in her car. Still talking on the phone, she drove away. Shortly after she lost reception and the person on the other end was gone. Frustrated she looked for the bars on her phone to see why she had lost the call. Only to realize she was not on her cell phone but on her house phone!. As we laughed together, I told her she definitely had Wedding on the Brain! I explained to her I was considering having a website about Wedding on the Brain. She said, "You should do it!" Long Story Short.... Weddingonthebrain.com was created!

Kelli and Kevin

Kevin and I had been talking about getting married. We knew that we were right for each other and we knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. Kevin had me thinking that the engagement would come 'soon,' then he had me thinking the engagement would come 'eventually.' I'd started to become a bit frustrated, not knowing if it was going to happen tomorrow or next year. All I knew is that he was the man I wanted to marry. One afternoon Kevin was in a particularly great mood and I didn't pick up on why he was so happy. He'd asked me if I wanted to go out to sushi for dinner. In preparation for our sushi dinner, I jumped into the shower for a quick rinse off. I got out of the shower with the towel wrapped around me and shower cap on my head and pushed open the bathroom door. There, down on one knee, Kevin was waiting for me with a ring. I was obviously shocked. I'd never imagined someone proposing to me when I was wearing a towel and a shower cap, but I didn't care what I looked like...Kev and I were getting married!!! Kev's proposal came 1 year, 1 month, and 1 day after we met.

Kelli and Kevin will be getting married on June 7, 2008

One Bride's Engagement Story

I will tell you about Michael's proposal to me. It was Easter Sunday (April 8th 2007) and we went out to brunch at Garwoods (in Lake Tahoe) on our way back Michael wanted to go to the pier at Commons Beach and give me my Easter basket. (he always gets me a basket). I opened it and it was a cute stuffed bunny and a nice card. Then we walked down to the end of the pier and sat on the edge. To me it was just a normal day and we were just hanging out. He reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a silver ring box that was engraved with"Marry Me 2007 " on the top. I was stunned and thought it was a joke, he opened the box and it began to sing "going to the chapel and we're gonna get married" (He knows how much i love that song). He took the ring out of the box and put it on my finger, he said how much he loves me and want to make me his wife for the rest of our lives. When I saw the ring I was shocked and really thought it was a joke, because it was enormous. I, of course said yes and we both teared up and kissed. We sat at the pier for a while and we were both so nervous of the ring flying into the lake. Later that day we went to his Aunt Jennifer's house. On the way there we saw his mom, aunt, and cousin taking a walk, Michael got on his cb radio (that is really loud outside of the truck) and yelled somebody is getting married. The girls started jumping up and down with excitement. We spent that day with his family and they shared in our excitement!!!!

As told to Jenny Isbell by the new Tara Morrissey!

Must Have- Bridal Tape

hollywood%20fashion%20tape.jpgI wanted to let brides know this is a definite Must Have on any wedding emergency kit list! It is $6.95 and you can order it directly from their website.

It is called "Hollywood Fashion Tape" and it is a true lifesaver.

Carrie, My coordinator told me about it. She swears by it and carries it in her Bridal Emergency kit which she takes to every wedding. Anyway the day of the wedding some of my bridesmaids dresses kept creeping down showing their bras. Well we used this and it fixed the problem! Also later on in the night my seam on my dress came out a bit....someone stepped on my dress...Bummer  ):  My coordinator used this and the problem was fixed in 30 seconds. It is super strong and real easy to use.

Here is their website...Hollywood Fashion Tape

Super cool idea for concert lovers

000247.jpg Hi Carrie! I was looking for wedding music things and somehow I came across this and thought it could be useful for someone, it's pretty unique and could be cute if one of the wedding events (bachelorette, etc.) was at a concert or had a lot to with music or the couple was just big concerts fans...

Cute Invitation Idea

Hey Carrie, I found a cute website for stamps. Right now the post office doesn't have any cute ones because of the price change. This website has some that are already developed, or you can make your own with a pic. I went with one that was already made. They charge a little extra, but have some good discounts if you buy in bulk. Here is the site, and I attached a pic of the one I used. Thanks!!! ~J
